Required Learning:

  • BSc/B-Tech in Chemistry, Microbiology, Analytical Chemistry and Packaging Management / or equivalent
  • Knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices
  • Knowledge of commonly used analytical laboratory methods
  • Knowledge of USP / BP Compendia methods advantageous
  • Efficient in Microsoft Word & Excel

Key Outputs :

The opportunity exists for successful candidates, to participate in the Quality Control Laboratory Graduate Program at the Adcock Ingram, Clayville Site.

The aim of the program is to provide work experience within the Quality Control Laboratory environment and provide exposure to various testing equipment.  The training program will run for a full period of 12 months.

Based on the qualification of the applicant, the successful candidates will be trained in the following areas of operation, within the Laboratory:

  • Analytical testing of Raw Materials
  • Analytical testing of Finished / Packed product
  • Microbiological testing
  • Environmental monitoring
  • Water sampling & testing
  • Analytical / Micro lab equipment maintenance and calibration
  • Testing of packaging componentry.

Operation in the areas above are planned and executed as per current Good Laboratory Practices and are in line with local and international requirements.



Core Competencies:

  • Development / Training Objectives

    • Perform release analysis on samples using methodologies such as:
    1. HPLC
    2. UPLC
    3. Gas Chromatography
    4. Atomic Absorption testing
    • Timeous execution of Out of Specification investigations
    • Review own work to ensure accuracy and compliance
    • Conform to specified guidelines
    • Reports generated as testing is completed and as per lead times
    • Reports are accurate and of high quality
    • Ensure that procedures are maintained in a GLP compliant manner
    • Ensure careful use of consumables to prevent wastage and maintain sufficient stock levels.
