Required Learning:

  • Matric
  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Sciences, Sustainability or Engineering
  • Minimum of 3 years’ professional sustainability-related experience
  • Experience and knowledge of main reporting frameworks, standards and initiatives (e.g. CDP, GHG Protocol, GRI SBTi and the latest ESG reporting developments)
  • Scope 1,2 and 3 GHG Accounting and Reporting
  • Carbon Management and Strategy experience
  • Experience and knowledge of holistic dimensions of sustainability (Social, Economics, Environmental e.g. US SDGs) would serve as an added advantage
  • MS Office
  • Knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA)

Key Outputs :

  • ESG Data management, Monitoring, measurement and performance review
  • External assurance of ESG information
  • Maintain and control ESG projects
  • Identify and track ESG and climate change trends, best practices, frameworks and standards and communicating those relevant to internal stakeholders and using the information to re-align processes and reports as well as to develop new services
  • Advise our internal stakeholders and find solutions for their ESG and climate change-related challenges
  • Compile and submit SET reports as well as monthly, quarterly and annual reports as required
  • Undertake ESG materiality assessment
  • Support the development and implementation of sustainability strategies, action plans and targets to increase sustainability impact in the group in line with business strategy
  • Identify and manage key ESG and sustainability trends, risks and opportunities in line with core business objectives and the maximization of social and environmental impact
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal, external and regulatory stakeholders in order to keep abreast of the industry trends and to remain competitive
  • Following reasonable instruction or completing any reasonable task given by your superiors even if outside of the outputs listed above
