Financial/Fees Accountant

Required Learning:
- Minimum of a BCom Accounting is a non – negotiable
- BCom Accounting Honours would be advantageous
- Minimum of 3 years work experience in a Financial Department
Key Outputs :
- General Ledger and Accounting support including:
o Monthly account reconciliation responsibility
o Ensuring the speedy resolution of open and/or risk items
o Detailed expense review and analysis
o Review transactions/ journals for processing
- Fees
o Monitor and advise the BU with respect to contract validity period, upcoming renegotiation periods, outstanding issues with customers and changes processed
o Customer fee administration
o Tracking and reporting of monthly fees (by type, by customer, by product)
o Reconciling monthly fees report to supporting documentation and trading terms
o Raising of fee provisions and purchase orders for payment
o Monthly reporting to OTC management
- Pricing
o Maintain and administer pricing files within Oracle
- Assist reporting manager in addressing processes and controls and maintaining updated financial standard operating procedures (“SOP’s”).
- Support the Reporting Manager with preparation of internal audits
- Responsible to provide ad-hoc analytical support
Core Competencies:
- Analytical and detail orientated individual with the highest accuracy standards.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively manage a finance team within a deadline driven environment, as well as communicate with varied levels of personnel within the company.
- Demonstrated knowledge of accounting and risk management principles and processes, including a detailed knowledge of statutory requirements and taxation legislation.
- Proficient with MS Office applications, specifically advanced Excel skills.
- Oracle system experience would be advantageous
